AKOLA: The 700-member Akola Bar Association (ABA) has postponed the non-co-operation agitation against judicial magistrate first class Sangita Chandrakant Khalipe following an assurance from registrar Bombay High Court Ashok Cheema and principal district and session judge A R Mahajan took look into the matter.
The decision to postpone the ongoing non-co-operation agitation against Khalipe was taken during a hurriedly convened ABA's general body meeting on Monday, informed advocate Rajesh Deshmukh, president of ABA.

The district judge and registrar of Bombay High Court informed the agitating lawyers that they had taken cognisance about the agitation and assured to initiate action in the case as per the procedure.
It may be recalled that the lawyers had decided not to work in Khalipe's court due to her alleged tendency to ill-treat the advocates in the courtroom.
